WINE NAME: MONFERRATO DOC ROSSO – MACATIN’
This wine gets its name from the famous Cru Macatin of Bretta Rossa and it was born with the desire to create a product of the territory with particular characteristics using vineyards with great potential.
PRODUCING COUNTRY: Situated in Tagliolo Monferrato, Beretta Region, Cru Macatin. The soil is calcareous-tufaceous and rich in marine fossils. Guyot pruning. The age of the vines are approximately 30 years.
GRAPES: Syrah, Albarossa, Pinot Nero and Dolcetto yielding 50q / ha
HARVEST: September-October. Harvesting is manual and in small crates
WINE MAKING: Large wooden barrels and refined 30 months in tonneau then bottled
Color: intense ruby red
Nose: mature red fruits, hint of chocolate and spices
Flavour by Mouth: balanced, elegant and persistent. Characterized by sweet tannins
ALCHOL CONTENT: 13%
