Principe is a Bordelais blend with a strong link with Bolgheri terroir. Fresh and fruity wine, complex and at the same time easy to enjoy and drink.
Training system: VSP with spur cordon pruning
Yeld per hectare: 7.500 kg/ha for Cabernet, 8.000 kg/ha for Merlot
Harvesting time: second and third week of September
Vinification: fermentation in steel vats and 12 day-skin maceration
Wine ageing: 12 months in barrels of second passage; at least 6 further months in bottle
Colour: deep ruby red
Serving temperature: 16/18 degrees
Production: 30.000 bottles
Lovely red fruits, vanilla and spices notes. Velvety tannins with a gentle acidity make Principe an intense and layered but surprisingly easygoing wine.
Aperitif, Italian ragù sauce and grilled red meats.
